Wine and food restaurant in Vienna. From architectural design to graphic identity

The project, which is unique in its way, was a challenge for destilat's interior design studio, which developed a spatial identity for the Viennese culinary and gastronomic vision

The basis of this interior architectural project are the project buildings on LandstraßerHauptstraße and the graphic identity of the Lingenhel brand

The beams of the historic roof structure inspired the emerged counters, bar and display furniture which resemble cubes superimposed on wooden beams. The surface structure and haptics play an essential role. They reflect through changes in coatings that develop over time. Both the long history of the house and the production processes of some food products find a place in the room

The central idea behind this interior design concept is not to combat natural ageing processes, but to use them to increase quality. The original ageing process is then transformed into a refining process, often associated with flavoured cheeses or raw hams

A cornerstone of the architectural concept was to give interior design a central role with Lingenhel diamonds. The control is from the pure abstract graphic model at the basis of the presentation of goods on the wall. Transposed into the third dimension, a shelf is developed for the presentation of wine

The pastry shop with a display area or a connected event space in the old court stables certainly represents a central area of undoubted charm. It was necessary to combine the hygienic requirements of a cheese factory with the demand for a harmonious and multifunctional event space

The cheese factory area has been separated from the rest of the room by a glass wall. The refined lighting reminiscent of a dramatic theatrical moment gives the process of making and selling the cheese the central role it was intended to play

The huge central table of raw wooden beams and two minimalist chandeliers made of metal mesh give the tasting room an archaic touch that matches the character of the room and simultaneously contrasts with the attractive and sober industrial atmosphere of the dairy
