When we throw away our trash where does it go? Space Available has teamed up with Peggy Gou to recycle and redesign the plastic waste saved from oceans and landfills. So the Peggy Chair was born, a chair made with 20 kg of plastic waste that becomes an icon of a new vision of design

The goal is to raise awareness about the problem of plastic, create awareness about the pollution it is generating and inspire change through the culture of circular design. Sadly when we throw away our trash most of it ends up in landfills and the ocean, only 8% is recycled

The Peggy chair with its blue and white marbled pattern is made by the hands of Indonesian artisans, a true zero waste design. Even the manufacturing scraps were then reused as welding rods to assemble the chair avoiding the use of glue or nails. The chair also has the distinction of being multifunctional, with an under-seat storage space to hold vinyls

20% of the profits from the sale of the chair designed by Space Available Studio will go to Indonesian communities to support initiatives against deforestation and the destruction of wildlife around it, such as orangutans, which unfortunately are on the verge of extinction
